Drake has reportedly paid Rappin’ 4-Tay
$100,000 after being called out for referencing his
lyrics on “Who Do You Love?”

Rappers are constantly quoting one another in songs.

Sometimes it’s enough to justify a writing credit, while
other times its simply a subtle nod or easter egg to
those who know the original source.

Drake’s verse on YG’s “Who Do You Love” certainly
falls into the latter category, though Rappin 4-Tay– the
emcee Drizzy interpolates on the verse –felt he should
have been compensated.

4-Tay called Drake out on Twitter for the lack of credit,
and it seems the two rappers have now come to an
out-of-court agreement. According to TMZ,
Drizzy has shelled out $100,000 to 4-Tay for using
elements of his verse from the 1994 record “Playaz
Club”

Do you think 4-Tay deserves a payday? Or was
Drake’s subtle shout out a blessing in itself?
