Benue State govt releases N7.3billion to pay striking teachers

Following the decision of the Benue State branch of the Nigeria Union of Teachers, NUT to call off its eight-month strike, the state government has released N7.3billion for the immediate payment of backlog of salaries to primary school teachers in the state.

The Special Adviser to the state Governor on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr. Solomon Wombo made this known yesterday while fielding questions from Journalists in Makurdi, the state capital.
